FRONT (London Rd): ONE Bay (T1)(ht.7m) FELL. Reason: it is located approximately 1m from the main foundations of the building so removal will mitigate future issues. A mediterranean garden will be planted up as a replacement as an example of a drought resistant form of urban planting. REAR (by nursery): ONE Beech (T2)(ht.8m) FELL. Reason: it is dominated by the larger beech & yew trees growing nearby leading to phototropic lateral growth towards the nursery that will cause problems for the gutters & roof. Another beech tree will be planted a little further away in the south downs.REAR (by nursery): ONE Yew (T3)(ht.10m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 1m from 10m to ht.9m, LATERAL REDUCE by 2m from 8m to 6m Southern laterals. Reason: to rebalance the tree keeping a natural aesthetic. Informative A: the replacement tree for beech (T2) is hugely appreciated to maintain the treed character of the gardens, for amenity, wildlife and shade to reduce increasingly high summer temperatures due to climate change.
