Reason: the 2 pollard stem heads continue to deteriorate with decay permeating down the stem, including a crack in each pollard head, re-pollarding is not a viable option, replace with a high quality single stemmed large canopy tree.FRONT (by sunken garden): ONE Cherry (T133)(ht.9m) FELL. Reason: Audible and visible decay at the base, cracking visible in the stem above a wound on the west side, leaning towards a path, crown in severe decline. Replace with a nativelarge canopy species.REAR (nature trail, north) TWO Sycamore (G001)(ht.17m) FELL. Reason: both have died, footpath in close proximity, logs & branches will be stacked on site to retain habitat. REAR (nature trail, by boating lake) TWO Sycamore (T2,T3)(ht.17m,ht.15m) FELL. Reason: tree has died, footpath in close proximity, logs & branches will be stacked on site to retain habitat. REAR (nature trail, by boating lake) ONE Willow (T4)(ht.7m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 3m from 7m to 4m. Informative B: specimen tree replacements for T133 and T156 are greatly appreciated, replacement trees in the nature reserve can be by managed natural regeneration if possble rather than new planting - to maintain the arboretum character of the gardens, wooded nature trail and species diversity.Informative C: creation of habitat log piles are much appreciated, please retain safe standing monoliths and leave timber lying, ground pegged for safety if required, for biodiversity & carbon cycle education.
