The Council raises no objection to the following AMENDED tree works to monitor T171 Cedar for the time being before decision on need to fell and crown reduce T183 Hawthorn not fell as agreed in agents telephone calls 27.6.23 and 4.7.23, following Tree Officer site visit 25.6.23, and emails 26.6.23 & 3.7.23:SIDE (by Gardens Toilets): ONE Cedar (T171)(ht.14m) MONITOR CONDITION of tree and if resistance of stem wood noticeably declines within 2 years FELL. Reason: 2 resistograph test drills show sound timber, with modest and low resistance, no decay with advice to monitor the cedar on a regular basis or fell. As the cedar is integral to a prominent group of trees in the gardens and leans away from the toilets, the cedar is to be monitored regularly balancing amenity with health and safety. Should the tree need to be felled within the next 2 years, a replacement cedar or other suitable specimen tree will be planted as replacement.CENTRAL: ONE Lime (T44, not T20)(ht.15m) CROWN REDUCE HEIGHT by 6m from 15m to 9m, REDUCE RADIUS by 5m from 12m to 7m on all compass points.
