Application Details
Description
From attached map we need to; 1. Coppice ash trees T63 to T67, along the collapsed part of the bank. Reason: Trees suffering from Ash Dieback and compromised by bank, coppicing them will remove the risk of tree failures and reduce the risks of further damage to bank from the trees falling and pulling the rootball from the ground. 2. Common Ash (T62), Reduce crown by 3 metres. Reason: To try to retain tree with a smaller crown as it isn’t as impacted by the bank collapse. 3. Fell multi-stem ash trees T51 & T52. Reason: Significant basal decay which has already resulted in the failure of one of the stems. Replacement planting to be undertaken under the guidance of Worcester City Tree Officer to include native Alder (Alnus glutinosa) and Willow (Salix alba) should plus other trees to see which accommodate the flood conditions of the river bank.
