The proposed works at 35 Lower Road, Port Sunlight, Wirral CH62 5EG, involve repairs to the external render and finishes of the listed building, along with essential repairs to the chimney stack. There are no proposals for extension or demolition of the listed building or any part thereof. The scope of work is described as "External Repairs" and will all materials, finishes and details will match the original. The central aspect of the proposed work involves replacement of the external render, which is in very poor condition. The defective render will be removed and a new lime-based render (to match the finish texture and material composition of the original) will be applied. Details of the render specification and methodology are included as an attachment. All original details, including the bell-cast, will be recreated. The finish coat will be a smooth lime render to recreate the original and to match the rendering at the other houses in the terrace. The finished render will be painted white. In addition to the render work, the proposals encompass: Painting of all rainwater goods to match existing. Painting of all windows and doors to match existing. Repair work to the chimney stack located on the side of the property. The overall intention of the proposed work is to address deteriorated and deficient exterior surfaces and finishes to ensure the long-term preservation of the listed house.
