Description

This covering letter accompanies a Hedgerow Removal Notice under the Hedgerow Regulations 1997 on behalf of Southern Electric Power Distribution (SEPD) in connection with essential network upgrade works at Silkstead Farm Substation, Silkstead Lane, Winchester. As part of the development, it is necessary to remove four hedgerows (hedgerows H3, H4, H5 and H6 as identified in Figure 3 below) located along the southern side of the site. These hedgerows meet the requirements to be protected by the Hedgerow Regulations 1997. Their removal is, however, unavoidable to allow for the essential works to be carried out.
