Description
T16 (Lime tree) to fell to ground level. Grind stump to 300 mm below ground level. Replacement tree to be of Lime sp and recommended is Tilia cordata Greenspire.Tree to be removed to facilitate the construction of the proposed new access road and drop off area within Kingsgate Boarding House footprint.T14 (Red Horse Chestnut) to be crown reduced radially by approximately 2.0 m to suitable growth points to retain a uniform and balanced shaped canopy.To permit the installation of scaffold and the construction of the Boarding House.Tree is located on attached plan as House 10 and a Goat Willow that overhangs the entrance to the PE Hall and car park. Low hanging branches that are whipped by traffic and people when passing. Work to clear obstruction to highway and footway.This tree was highlighted during the College wide inspection of 2023 and work is yet to be completed. It is understood that a cyclical Planning Application for crown lifting all trees overhanging highways, footways and footpaths have been granted and this work is within this existing PA. However, it is also recommended that this tree is repollarded to existing knuckles or suitable growth points as recorded within Negative Tree Survey Report MB230201 (attached).
