Description

T1 Oak - Reduce the lowest branch and the adjacent branch above to the east which extend out of the average canopy shape in length by approximately 10% (1.5m - 2m) retaining the shape and habit of the species. No live branches >75mm diameter are to be removed.The lowest limb to the east has a cavity close to the branch union at around 3m AGL on the northern side of the stem (photograph included with sketch plan) and has a slightly lower foliage density than the remaining canopy. Additionally there are raised levels of minor dead wood. A reduction in length has been recommended to remove some end-weight and therefore stress on the decayed part of the branch.The adjacent branch above also growing to east has been recommended for a minor reduction in length to maintain aesthetics.Informative - dead wood may also be removed during the tree surgery operation.
