Description

Removal of existing covered lean-to and erection of an oak framed balcony at the rear of the property. The new structure will be to the same footprint as the existing lean-to. The supporting frame timbers will be 105mm square with chamfered edges. The uprights will be sunk into 900mm footings and held in place with concrete. The balcony will be 4.1m wide and 1.8 m deep. A 205mm backplate will be sited on the outside wall of the property to support the rear of the balcony. Composite decking will be used on top of the frame. Reinforced glass at least 10mm thick will be used on top of the decking on three sides.
