Description

Southern Water are planning to undertake works along Clarendon Way to connect Weekdown Water Service Reservoir (WSR) to Crabwood Water Service Reservoir (WSR) to ensure security of the water supply to the city of Winchester whilst meeting Southern Waters regulatory notice with the Drinking Water Inspectorate. To facilitate access to the site and for the pipe to connect to the existing water network we need to undertake works in an area of vegetation which could fall under the definition of a Hedgerow. Please see the plan below for this location. I have attached a photo showing approximately the area where the removal will be needed and the arboricultural report recommending us to take the route we have rather than impact on the higher value trees to the south.
