Application Details
Description
4 lime trees outside No.s 2-5 Earlsdown, Northbrook Avenue, Winchester SO23 0JW. The trees run along the outside of the boundary wall of the north side of the building along the grass verge, at the south west end of Northbrook Avenue. These trees do not have TPOs. I have identified these trees on the sketch plan as blue stars, numbered 2, 3, 4, 5.I am the owner of No.1 Earlsdown, and I have the consent from the owners of no.s 2-5 Earlsdown to submit this application on their behalves. This application is for the trees to be re-pollarded. They have clearly been pollarded in the past but have now outgrown their form and location with new branch growth unsuited to their neighbouring trees and location very close to a building. Pollarding works have just completed to all the other trees on this and surrounding roads, but these trees were accidentally excluded from those works. They are now therefore an anomaly on the road, even though they are of like type and nature to the neighbouring trees.Pollarding will restore the trees to their previous state and bring them into keeping with the other trees outside properties along this road.
