Description

The proposed works on 12 St Swithun St include internal works to the external envelope. This primarily involves the addition of insulation to the existing floor, walls and roof. We are proposing to install cellulose fibre insulation in the existing floor in the areas highlighted within our drawings. Our proposal also includes the addition of spacetherm aeogel insulation behind the timber half-height and full-height panelling. In addition the plaster covering the internal side of the external walls will be subject to testing to determine the age and significance, areas of plaster that are not deemed of notable significance will be replaced with diathonite (includes ground cork) lime plaster which offers superior insulation to conventional lime plaster. Regarding the roof, we propose to install woodfibre insulation between the joists, between a breather and moisture control, membranes, and replace the internal plaster. No works are proposed externally.
