Description

The works are to remove vegetation to allow the construction of a new eel pass link the existing water course to the south of Station Road with the pond to the north of Stations Road.These works are included in the planning application which is awaiting the sign off of the S106 agreement. The Planning Case Officer is Rose Chapman, Planning Reference 17/02075/FUL. Rose Chapman is aware of this Notification.This s211 notification is being submitted separately to allow treeworks to commence prior to the sign off of the S106 agreement. We would be very happy to meet on site to discuss the proposed works.The vegetation removals are necessary to allow clearance for the proposed excavation works and to allow works to be undertaken as per the archaeologist's method statement and watching brief, which requires the grading and benching back of excavated areas. The vegetation removals includes removal of an area of semi-mature goat willow within the land to the south of Station Road, removal of a section of row of semi mature Thujas to the southern side of Station Road and heavy reduction of 4 ivy covered poplar stems to approximately 1.5m, and removal of an area of declining semi-mature ash trees with ash dieback disease to the northern side of Station Road on the southern bank of the pond. See Attached Plans and Photographs for details of the proposed works. The treeworks will be undertaken under direct ecological supervision.The ground works are being undertaken under direct supervision by the archaeologist and ecologist.All tree works will be undertaken by suitably qualified and insured treeworks contractors.
