Description

A 60m length of hedgerow atop a stone wall will require removal. Species include elder (Sambucus nigra), hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna), blackthorn (Prunus spinosa) and bramble (Rubus fruticosus agg.). The hedgerow is approximately 1m wide and is well managed on one side.Wessex Water is proposing to undertake repairs to the wall that lies underneath the hedgerow. The wall has partially collapsed. The wall borders the access track leading to Wessex Water's Winsley Water Recycling Centre, and repairs to the wall are required in order for the tankers to be able to safely use the access track. The hedgerow is growing directly above the wall and will require removal in order for the repairs to the wall to be completed.All hedgerow removed will be re-installed in line with Wessex Water Standards following completion of the works.
