T1-Beech tree. TPO no (E/446)The preposed work is on a single mature Beech, located on its one within the TPO'd tree belt of mixed Ash and Beech.the tree in question is severely blocking light onto the garden and rear seating area at Slopping Acre, it has squirrel damage on the upper 3m of stem, Also when in full leaf, the tree presents a risk of failure towards the house of Slopping Acre.The preposed work is to reduce and thin the over all size of the crown, reducing the hight down by approx 3m-4.5m down past the squirrel damage, and reduce the sides in by approx 2m-2.5, thinning approx 10-15% of the canopy.The aim is to mitigate the sail effect in strong wind, gain much needed light to the house and garden when in full leaf, and remove future problems in relation to the pest damage.
