Description

Work to the Taxodium (Photo Taxodium 1), Beech (Photo Beech 1), Horse Chestnut (Photo Horse chestnut 1), Cedar (Photo Cedar 1/2) and crown lift of other trees around the pond (Photo pond 1/2) in Lacock Abbey. Map attached with various trees locations (Photo tree location)Based on the visual tree inspection performed by our tree surgeon on the 26th May 2023 he recommend the followingwork to be done.• Crown lift trees around pond area up to 3 meters from ground level.• Reduce Taxodium by 4 meters due to hollowing at base and new growth being weak atunions. Risk of canopy and stem failure.• Reduce Beech and Horse Chestnut 3 meters away from canopy of Taxodium. To allowmore light to Taxodium and stop it from being shaded out once it has been reduced.• Reduce weight in lower large limb in Cedar that is facing south. Raise canopy to 4 metersto get view to Abbey
