Description

Overall Works Approximately 38 trees have self seeded on the lower slopes of the roofs of two former aircraft hangars on Hullavington Airfield. These trees need to be removed in their entirety. 2 additional trees (1 non-native Thuja occidentalis) have self seeded within 10m of the frontage of H89 .Tree Group 120 trees of species Euonymus Europaeus and Sambucus Nigra that have self seeded on the NW side of the roof of H90. They are relatively uniform in size varying from 5m to 8m in height with several multistems contributing to the overall canopy. Tree Group 211 trees of species Euonymus Europaeus and Sambucus Nigra that have self seeded on SE side of the roof of H90. They are relatively uniform in size varying from 4m to 7m in height. Tree Group 33 trees of species Euonymus Europaeus and Ligustrum vulgare that have self seeded on SW side of the roof of H89. Sizes of 3m - 6m in height. Tree Group 42 Euonymus Europaeus 3m and 5m in height that have self seeded on NE side of the roof of H89. Tree Group 51 Sambucus Nigra and 1 Thuja occidentalis that have self seeded within 10m of the frontage of H89. These trees are detracting from the open nature of the airfield, are too close to the historic hangar building and are of low amenity value.
