Description

T1 Robinia (Height 8 metres, crown spread 3 metres). This tree is in terminal decline due to age, and is in fairly poor condition. The crown of the tree holds a significant amount of dead and decaying wood, as is typical of mature trees of this species. if the tree were to break then it is likely that any debris would fall into the adjacent two roads or the parking area. T2. Mature ash tree. Height 8 metres, crown spread 3 metres. This tree is tall and lanky, and regularly drops debris onto the adjacent footpath and parking area. The specification for works is approximately the same for T1 and T2, and is aimed at maintaining the trees in the safest possible condition. Reduce height of both trees by around 3 metres, and prune remainder to give better shape. Removing around 3 metres of top growth and around 30 cm of side growth, leaving pruning cuts of 50 mm maximum.
