Description

Cercis siliquestrum (T1) : request to fell, due to poor condition of tree. Historical and ongoing decay has left this tree badly unbalanced and leaning, with all the weight to one side. The last remaining limb on the north side is splitting horizontally, see 2603C, leading to the death of that limb. The trunk has severe vertical decay, see 2603D, with soft material between partial occlusion wood. The remaining two upper branches are also showing signs of decay with several broken stubs within the canopy. We plan to fell this tree, replacing it with a similar small ornamental tree, species yet to be decided. The tree is positioned within a private garden and is not visible from Ebbs Lane.
