Description

A tree survey carried out by Nicholsons identified that an internal decay test needed to be carried out to an Oak Tree that borders the area (T009 in the survey). Boward carried out a decay test and recommended The large wound and the extent of hollowing within this wound combined with the extensive crown above the wound site leads me to recommend that the tree be subjected to whole crown reduction works of up to 3 metres all round. It is also recommended that the large sections of deadwood be removed from throughout the crown. Thames Valley Tree Care have quoted to carry out the above works. The field belongs to Cumnor Parish Council and is open to the public and is used for football matches and training by Cumnor Minors Football Club who run from the pavilion. The tree needs this work carried out to ensure the safety of the general public visiting the field.
