Application Details
Description
Two Silver Birches running along the front edge of the property adjacent to the main road, High Street. Northern most stem has an obvious minimum 10 degree lean towards the road and is over extended towards the road. Both Silver Birches would ideally be reduced both in height and overall canopy by 1-2 metres, along with deadwood to be removed. This is due to the concern of the property owner. From the road perspective the left silver birch, southern stem, has an over extended limb towards the property which will be brought in closer to 3 metres, but not affecting the overall structure of the tree and should help to rebalance the canopy. Conifer adjacent to southern Silver Birch is to be cut back from the road as it is encroaching on the pavement and poses a potential hazard to pedestrians. It will have a small re shape on the sides, refer to the photos, with a maximum of a metre coming off. This is general maintenance. Additionally, the Horse Chestnut situated behind the others, to the west, will be given a metre clearance from the bt line running through lower canopy as it is close to touching. Additionally major deadwood shall be removed from the canopy where present, difficult to tell from the foliage surrounding the horse chestnut.
