Application Details
Description
Line of Lime trees. All the trees have good foliar cover and no obvious pathogens acting on the bases of the trees. T5 Lime is the most eastly tree. It is twin-stemmed and has an historic dynamic brace with dense leaf cover extending over the properties to the south and the north. The tree has been reduced recently. T4 Lime has been braced and recently reduced. The bracing appears quite tight and would need to be changed to dynamic cobra bracing and possibly also moved up tree to higher point. The main fork union has multiple lesions, dark staining indicating stress and possibly bark dysfunction and necrosis. Some historic lesions on the main stem, which are quite old and lower down. This is primarily on the north side, although there are some lesions on the south side as well. These should be monitored for advance infection over the coming years. T3 Lime which is the central tree which has a twisting included union from 3m. The tree has been reduced recently and has dynamic bracing. T2 Lime Bifurcates at 2m and has a large historic area of damage, probably from building works on south side which appears to be including and has compartmentalised well behind the wound site. There is one patch of staining or dark lesion which may indicate some other form of pathogen. Tree has been reduced recently. T1 Lime is the end tree adjacent to road. Very perfuse epicormic growth on base and main stem. Tree is very suppressed and has been recently reduced. Unable to inspect base clearly because of the epicormic growth. Works are: To raise the canopies of all the trees up to approximately 5m all round, removing epicormic growth and branch tips only, with no wounds larger than 60mm in diameter.
