Description

There is a cherry tree near our house which is growing towards the house and overhanging the roof. The base [25cm diam] is about 6m from the house, and the upper trunk is now coming within 3m. The tree is about 8m tall and one of many cherry trees which have wild-seeded over the decades, before we arrived here. Our insurers are not happy about it being so close, and it is reaching the point where it is difficult to prune the tree back from overhanging the roof, so we would like to take it down. I have already replaced it with a young beech tree, about 2.5m tall,but not in this location; we have enough cherry trees!
