Description

Removal of Ash trees adjacent to public footpath (runs between Letcombe Bassett and Letcombe Regis) at the top of the valley to the Eastern side of the property. Removal of a maximum of 18 Ash trees of varying sizes. The trees are suffering from die back and are dropping limbs which could injure pedestrians. Also removal of one Willow tree which has uprooted and is hung up in a neighbouring Ash tree. No other species will be removed. Exact number to be removed will depend on cost, trees in poorest condition to be removed first, remainder at a later date (probably over two years). Trees are marked with yellow tape. The trees will be replaced with UK Broad leaved trees (Hornbeam, Whitebeam, Beech, Rowan, Holme Oak, Holly, Hazel). Please note one large Ash came down in a recent storm and severely damaged two others. We have removed these for safety.
