Description

Yew tree which is multistemmed and has evidence of being part of the existing hedge to the south but for many years it has been left untrimmed and has now overgrown into a full height tree. We would like permission to reduce the tree back to its original hedge character and size. The height would be reduced to approx 3m so it would remain a substantial element in the garden. There would be no reduction in canopy width at the lower level. In mitigation there is a large yew tree and very large lime tree adjacent to it both of which would benefit from the size reduction. Our reason for doing it is that it currently overshadows our allotment area.
