Application Details
Description
T1 - Lime - Fell to ground level. The tree has been monitored over the last 3 years and is in steady decline due to a Ganoderma colonisation around the base of the main stem, predominantly to the East side. Stem has been test sounded with a mallet and there is a significant area of dead wood within the stem comprising approximately 1/3 of the stem from the root collar up to approximately 2.0M to the East side. If wind throw of the tree due to decayed rooting systems was to occur from a string South-Westerly (prevailing) wind, significant damage to a structure could occur. It must be assumed that the rooting systems within the area of Ganoderma colonisation have become modified by decay and offer no support. T2 - Horse Chestnut - Remove lowest primary lateral limb overhanging footpath and wall to the North-West back to source on main stem. G3 - Re-pollard 5 x Willow pollards back to pollard heads / previous pollard points.
