Description

We would like to fell the Lawson Cypress tree in our garden at 19 Grahame Close, Blewbury, OX11 9QE. As we are in a conservation area, your website states that we need to seek your permission to do this please. If you could let us know if you are happy for us to carry out this work. The reason we are felling the tree is because we are worried about its safety in recent storms; we moved to the house two years ago and we have had a few storms since then. We have had quotes from some tree surgeons and they have stated the tree would strike our neighbours houses (as it is about 20m tall), if it were to come down in a storm or any other act of god. We did ask if we could trim the tree, however the tree surgeons have advised that it could kill the tree. As far as we are aware, the tree is not covered by a Tree Preservation Order. We are looking to add photos of the tree to this application.
