Description

The proposed development is the installation of 305 no' 425W solar PV panels onto the existing roofs. The panels will be mounted on the roof via a low profile ballasted mounting system. The 129.625 kWp system is expected to generate in the region of 115,000 kWh/year which is estimated to offset 15.7 tonnes of CO2 annually. Vale of White Horse District Council, which is the planning authority where the site is situated, have declared a climate emergency and the proposed installation will provide a positive step forward in helping to reach their targets. The installation is larger than 50kW and so no longer considered as microgeneration, however all permitted development rights have been adhered to when designing the system and as such as Prior Approval is being sought.
