Description

I have now been living at this property for 30 years and, during that time, the original planting by the previous owners has matured to the point where there is no room for any further planting and the deciduous trees that my late wife and I have planted are being hampered by some (now) fairly large conifers which I do not think add anything to the character of my property or that of the conservation area. As I mentioned in my email a couple of years ago, my house sits on a relatively small plot where none of the boundaries is more than 8 metres from the house. I attach an extract of the Land Registry filed plan on which my plot is outlined with a bold black line. I would like have consent to remove 4 conifers, whose positions are as follows 1. At point A on the plan-see photo 1. This is a conifer which has already had the top taken out many years ago, but it has spread over the boundary with my neighbour and also now brushes against a flowering cherry and a very thin mountain ash (which has never prospered because, I suspect, of the presence of this conifer and also the one felled two years ago). 2. At point B-this sits alongside our boundary and, while it provides some screening, (see photo 2) that task is now fulfilled by the hornbeam and the mountain ash in the vicinity. 3. At point C- this conifer has two stems and sits between a mature cypress and an ilex on my northern boundary which I wish to keep-see photo 3. 4. At point D- this conifer has grown to a height where it partially shades my neighbours garden to the west and also my greenhouse (which was erected by a previous owner)-see photo 4
