Description

Proposed infill of rear lightwell with walk-on, fire rated rooflights. Removal of the existing metal grill covering the lightwell; Infilling the lightwell at ground floor level to create an internal space; Installation of walk-on rooflights flush with the surrounding deck to allow daylight into the lower ground floor; Associated internal works to integrate the new structure, including provision for mechanical ventilation where required. New air handling unit to service rear room which has now become internal. Extended ventilation to service void under the suspended timber floor; Replacement of existing lead roof section on the ground floor, on a small corner adjacent to the bay window; Additional insulation to the rear lightwell floor slab, as this space will become internal; Revised floor build-up to the lower ground floor, rear extension room following discovery of the gridded masonry structure below the existing concrete slab.
