Description

Following a recent submission for the felling of two Ash trees suffering from ash die back, which were brought to my attention following a survey by Mr Brian Dean (Tree Officer), the recent high winds have highlighted further trees which are in a serious/dangerous state of health.Grouping G2 - Ash :- This tree lost a major limb during the recent winds, landing on the driveway of my property. Other limbs are clearly unstable with the potential to not only fall into my property but also into the adjacent park. Ash die back is clearly present. Proposal to fell tree.Grouping G3 - Ash :- This ash is also suffering from die back and is adjacent to and overhangs the driveway. During the winds this tree has clearly become unstable at root level which is identifiable by the ground heave that has occurred at its base raising the stone edgings. Proposal to fell treeGrouping G3 - Whitebeam :- This tree has two out of its four major limbs dead. the tree is adjacent to and leans over the driveway. This deterioration was observed by your Mr Dean during his visit following the high winds. It was considered that the removal/reduction of the two limbs could potentially exasperate the further deterioration of the tree. Proposal to fell tree. These proposals do not come about lightly, recent events have (commencing with with your notice to remove a diseased Ash) focused my attention to my tree stock subsequently highlighting dangers to individuals and property both within and outwith of my curtilage. There are two further Ash trees that have succumbed to die back, one poses a threat to the drive and the main house whilst the other poses a threat to the main entrance driveway, Halsall Lane and overhead cabling. I shall monitor these trees going forward
