Application Details
Description
Proposed Works:Dismantle and fell one Beech tree (protected by TPO).Reason for Works:The tree is causing actual and potential structural damage to the property:There are visible cracks in the front brickwork of the house, consistent with root-related subsidence. The roots are lifting and displacing the paved pathway leading to the front door, creating an uneven surface and potential trip hazard. The tree has grown significantly since the property was constructed and is now approximately four times its original size.Several branches are in direct contact with the roof of the property, posing a risk of physical damage to the structure during high winds. The base of the tree is located approximately 4 metres from the property?s foundations. Given the proximity, the evidence of cracking, and the continuing growth of the tree, there is a significant risk of further structural damage if it is retained.Supporting Information:Photographs of the affected brickwork, pathway, and roof contact points will be submitted to support this application.
