Description
Tree highlighted on sketch plan is at the front of the property on the right hand side as you look at the house. The horse chestnut is a mature specimen with co dominant stems. It also has large visible cracks in the bark on one of the stems. I personally feel that the tree poses a potential danger due to the aforementioned factors. However the property owner does not want to lose the tree. As bare minimum we would like to request too reduce two of the large limbs on the stem that has the cracks running up it. The two limbs in question are the lowest lateral limb that grows over the drive way towards the house, this needs to be reduced/ remove as far as safely possible in order reduce the risk of fracture. There is another limb directly above the previously mentioned limb and I think that it would be beneficial to reduce the weight of it in order to reduce to gross weight of the entire stem.Myself and the property owner would also like your professional opinion on the safety of the tree as a whole and what your recommendations would be.
