Description

T1 Beech - Fell - Tree on top of old quarry wall, base of trunk at roof level. Open Cavity at approximately 10 feet on eastern aspect from old pruning wound, Cavity extends approximately 500mm west into trunk confirmed through probe fanning out in a north and southerly direction. Cavity just below main crown break. Desiccated inonotus sp. was present in relation to the cavity. Weighting of crown towards house below at 7 the vale. Also history of historic whole tree failures in poor quality soil and fractured sandstone along upper limit of quarry. Most recent in 2022. The risk linked to potential target is high and as such the tree should be removed. It is preferred that no replacement is planted and natural regeneration will be used.
