Description

Three of the four hedges proposed to be removed are for access during site set-up and construction of new assets at Bidford STW. During MMB's set-up and construction, we will rent the field to the north of the sewage treatment works to be used for temporary site cabins, stockpiles, etc. The final hedge is proposed to be removed in order to lay temporary over-ground pipework that will enable 'Temporary Treatment'. This is essential in the construction process as it means that the flows remain treated to an acceptable standard during the demolition of a structurally-failed biofilter and the construction of new ones. Severn Trent own the land in which the sewage works sits, including the access track to it. Severn Trent will be a tenant of the field to the north of the site during the construction period.
