Description
The existing external render and paint finishes have deteriorated significantly, exhibiting cracking, and peeling in numerous locations. The proposal includes patch repairs, where possible, of affected areas of existing render and paint finishes to the entire southwest elevation, and part of the northwest and southeast elevations. The repair proposal will entail careful removal of the existing render and paint finishes, for replacement with new render and paint finishes in keeping with the building?s historic character. Should this not be possible, due to the extent and severity of deterioration present, it may be necessary to remove and renew the existing render and paint finishes entirely from individual wall panels within these elevations. The proposal then would be to replace the existing render with traditional lime-based render, and a traditional paint finish.
