Listed building consent for Works to improve the levels of thermal comfort within the occupied areas of William Morris Gallery - Basement: Installation of replacement extraction fan, exhaust ducting, new attenuator and distribution board. Ground and first floors: Installation of extract fans within the fireplaces involving refurbishment and restoration of the fireplace surrounds, installation of an extract grille above doorway and alterations to the floorboards to create access points for maintenance of the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) pipework. Second floor: Installation of high-level air-conditioning units and diffuser vents. Roof: Improvement of the existing insulation within the internal roof void and installation of condenser units and ASHP (Air Source Heat Pumps). Works include the application of solar control film to all windows.
