T001 - Horse Chestnut - Prominent specimen with high amenity value; crown raised and reduced with large diameter pruning wounds of varying age; old pruning/tear out wounds x2 at SE and W, 3-5m with peripheral ribs of reaction wood, however the extent of coalesced decay is likely significant in such non-durable wood; strong growth response to previous crown reduction works indicates vitality overall for a tree of the species and age class is good; decay and dysfunction at old pruning wound sites throughout crown; anticipated mode of failure is the central leading stem or lateral primary limbs where decay is established at 3-5m, onto Cockington Lane - Crown reduction to previous pruning points, approximately 14m.
