Oak (T3) - Risk-based crown management in accordance with BS3998:2010 (sections 7.3.2 and 7.7).Remove or shorten dysfunctional, dead, or fractured branches throughout the crown to reduce the likelihood of branch failure.Reduce outer lateral crown spread by up to 1.5m.All pruning cuts to be limited to =50mm diameter, retaining natural form and ensuring balanced crown structure.Works to be carried out using target pruning, avoiding flush cuts and excessive live-tissue removal.Objective: manage mechanical loading, reduce risk to garden users, and maintain long-term tree health and amenity value.Reason for work: To reduce the risk of branch failure over a frequently used seating area while preserving the tree's natural appearance and physiological function.
