Description
T1- Monterey Pine Reason for Works:The Monterey Pine is showing advanced physiological decline, with an estimated 70% crown dieback. The tree contains large-diameter deadwood throughout the canopy and displays symptoms consistent with needle blight, including extensive needle loss and poor foliage condition. Vitality is severely reduced and decline is progressive with no realistic chance of recovery.Justification:The structural integrity of the tree is compromised due to the extent of deadwood and crown decline. This creates an increased risk of branch and potential stem failure, posing a hazard to nearby property. Removal via sectional dismantle is necessary to mitigate safety risks and prevent uncontrolled failure.Proposed Method:Sectional dismantle using controlled climbing and rigging techniques to safely lower sections and avoid damage to surrounding property and vegetation. Stump to be left level with the ground.Replacement Planting:A suitable replacement tree species, to be agreed with the Local Planning Authority, will be planted within the next planting season to maintain site amenity and biodiversity value.
