Application Details
Description
T1 1x Lime Tree (Tilia spp.) Recommended Works-Height Reduction Reduce the overall crown height by approximately 3-4 metres, maintaining a balanced, natural shape and growth habit.-Crown Reduction (Lateral) Reduce lateral spread by approximately 1-2 metres, selectively pruning to suitable growth points to maintain crown symmetry.-Crown Lifting Raise the lower canopy to achieve a 5-metre clearance from ground level, removing lower branches back to their points of origin or to a suitable lateral. All arising material shall be removed from site and returned to our premises for recycling. The proposed works are intended to promote the long-term structural integrity and overall health of the tree, while addressing site-specific management concerns. The tree is subject to high levels of mechanical stress and wind-loading, particularly from prevailing easterly winds. Reducing the crown height and lateral spread will help to mitigate these forces, decreasing the risk of branch or stem failure during adverse weather conditions. The works will also enhance light penetration to the surrounding area, benefitting adjacent planting and improving amenity use of the space. All works will be carried out in accordance with BS3998:2010 ? Tree Work ? Recommendations.
