T1 - T11: 11x Pine: Fell to ground level.Reason for Felling Request:1. Unsuitable Location / Outgrowing Available Space:The trees are growing on a narrow, elevated bank in close proximity to residential buildings. As they continue to mature, their increasing size and dominance make them unsuitable for the space, creating long-term concerns about their impact on structures, infrastructure, and resident safety.2. Excessive Shading and Loss of Amenity:The evergreen canopy significantly restricts natural daylight to the adjacent properties, particularly those in Block B. This persistent shading negatively affects internal living spaces and external amenity areas, leading to multiple resident complaints and reduced enjoyment of the space.3. Ongoing Maintenance Issues from Needle and Debris Drop:The pine trees produce substantial needle litter and cone debris, which regularly clogs gutters, downpipes, and local drainage systems. This leads to frequent maintenance needs and has the potential to contribute to water ingress, damp issues, and slip hazards on paved areas.4. Slope Stability and Future Risk:Situated on a steep, raised bank, the root systems of these trees may impact slope stability as they increase in size. While no active movement has yet been identified, the potential for soil destabilisation or windthrow?especially during storms?poses an unacceptable long-term risk.5. Species Not Suited to Pruning or Reduction:Monterey pine is not a species that responds well to pruning or heavy crown reduction. Attempts to prune often result in poor wound closure, increased vulnerability to disease and decay, and unsightly regrowth (if any). As such, pruning is not considered a viable long-term management solution and is likely to worsen the condition and appearance of the trees.6.
