T1/T2 Oaks (two trees forming one canopy) Proposed Works:The group consists of three oak trees, with one tree located within a neighbouring property, forming part of the overall canopy but at a lower height than the two trees located within No. 14.The two oak trees within No. 14 have a higher canopy than the neighbouring oak tree, resulting in an inconsistent canopy height.The proposed work seeks to reduce the overall height of the two oaks within No. 14 by up to 3 metres to establish a uniform canopy height consistent with the shorter neighbouring oak.Work Specification:Crown Reduction:Reduce the height of the two oak trees located within No. 14 by up to 3 metres.The reduction should be carried out using natural target pruning to maintain the trees' health and natural shape.The works will ensure that the final canopy height is consistent with the neighbouring oak, forming a balanced and aesthetically appropriate structure.Crown Reshaping:Ensure that pruning is carried out sympathetically to maintain a natural form and avoid excessive or unbalanced crown reduction.All cuts shall be made in accordance with BS 3998:2010 (Tree Work ? Recommendations), ensuring clean cuts with minimal impact.No more than 25% of the live crown should be removed to avoid stress and dieback.Deadwood Removal:Any significant deadwood (>25mm diameter) identified within the crown will be removed as part of good arboricultural practice to maintain safety.Justification for Works:The proposal aims to create a more uniform canopy structure by reducing the two taller trees in No. 14 to match the height of the neighbouring oak.The works will enhance the overall visual amenity while ensuring the trees? long-term health and stability.
