Description

Japanese red-cedar (T1) -fell and replanted with Hawthorn 'Paul's Scarlet' because of decayed bark and wood properties within the lower part of the stem as is susceptible to Phytophthora root disease, including P. cinnamomi. It is also considered to be susceptible to Armillaria root rot (honey fungus). Based on its appearance and size, it seems that the tree is younger than the time the TPO area was established.
