Description
Having recently moved to this property, the shrubs and young holm oak have been neglected for a couple of years and need tidying. The holm oak sits just behind the front boundary wall to the property immediately adjacent to Upper Braddons Hill Road (no pavement). Adjacent to the holm oak are self seeded sycamore, holly and ?Pittosporum tenufolium. To encourage the holm oak to thrive, and having taken advice from Devon Tree Services, I'd like to take out the self seeded young sycamore, holly and pittosporum to give the holm oak space. As the same time a tidy up and crown life of the holm oak. (The holm oak currently looks like a very large unkempt shrub rather than a tree). This cluster of young shrubs and the holm oak needs managing partly because the roots are pushing out the retaining wall at the front of the property - if we keep the hold oak a sensible size if possible it is hoped this may be slowed down. Ultimately if the wall is damaged sufficient it may fall on to the public highway. Devon Tree Services have suggested reducing the height of the holm oak by 2m and using eco plugs for the self seeded sycamore, holly and pittosporum.
