Description
T1- Holm Oak- framework pollardan application submitted in 2023 was refused for the removal of T1 and replanting in a more suitable position.T1 is a semi mature Holm Oak tree that completely covers the path at the property. this property is communal grounds and the client has a responsibility to keep the grounds safe for his tenants to use the garden area, unfortunately the leaves and droppings from the tree are causing a significant health and safety risk to tenants using the path because the path is becoming very shaded and slippery when leaf fall occurs. my client would like to resolve this issue by carry out a framework pollard and then managing the tree cyclically every 3 years by repollarding this still keeps the benefit of the tree but allows him to keep his tenants safe. the tree is currently 12 meters in height and 8 meters in spread we wish to pollard to 10 meters in height and 6 meters in spreadthe tree does not hold significant value within the landscape and the sight has various other large trees that contribute to the landscape so the proposed works would not negatively impact the landscape in any way but would allow the various site users to remain safe when using the garden path.
