Description

T1 Holme Oak - Evergreen Oak (Quercus ilex) Crown Reduction - Reduce the height and spread of the tree by up to 3m (30-35% volume) Final height 10m and spread 6m as per marked up photograph attached. This would be to reduce the sail affect on the tree, particularly as the tree sits right next to a children's play area. There are large hollow pockets within the lower stem and also stem decay present. This is a 2nd application following advice provided on the 1st application decision (AT/2024/0028/TPO) recommending a crown reduction as a viable alternative to pollarding or removing
