English oak, Quercus robur G1. G1 is a row of 4 English Oak trees they have grown from the woodland below the car park of Meadfoot view. the woodland is mainly Holme oak these English oaks have grown above the canopy of the woodland making them very spindly, leaving them exposed in a very windy spot. the car park and small garden area below are regularly used by the residents of Meadfoot view that specialises in people with complex physical disability. debris and small branches are regularly falling making wheel chair access difficult. they are approximately 18 m high and growing in a very steep bank down to the road. I would like to reduce the trees by approximately 30% making cuts no more than 30cm on vertical growth to take them in like with the rest of the canopy of the the woodland this will maintain the trees for Meadfoot view keeping there aesthetical value. I have marked the proposed height on pic 2. reducing them will also increase the safety of the trees on the steep bank bringing them out of the prevailing wind and into the canopy of the rest of the woodland.
