Description

The tree is a sweet chestnut (Castanea sativa) referred to as tree 1 on the attached Garden_map_03-2022.pdf for which permission has been sought and received to remove branches over-hanging Lower Woodfield Road. In getting professional quotations for this work it has been mentioned that we should also lower the crown of the remaining upright trunk by 2 metres, because of the squirrel damage and to encourage growth further down the trunk.Permission is sought to include this work at the same time as the approved work on AT/2022/0081.It is believed that this tree would have existed at the time of the 1973 TPO for the Lincombes.
