Description

Birch tree over a car park that appears dead. A number of branches are dead and brittle looking and the rest are holding a very light foliage or dead brown leaves. The tree is mature for the species. The bark has numerous areas of an exuded black crust of bleeding cankers (phytophthora?). A heavy loading of ivy makes any other observations difficult! I would like reduce this tree to a height that poses no risk to the busy car park of Primley House.
